It seems like the holidays throw me in so many different directions that the discipline I strive to implement in my life each year is completely ripped to shreds by the time the new year actually comes around.  I had just began to be consistent in my blogging leading up to Thanksgiving break and then I no show for 45 days.  I committed last year to begin to blog of staying connected, share ideas, and, most importantly, to challenge myself in my writing abilities.  I see writing as a weakness in my life that I want to work on.  I also blog because it is a great way for me to get thoughts, ideas and emotions out there in a journal type format that's available for me to reflect on throughout the year.   I am glad to recommit myself to maintaining this blog this year starting now.  I have also committed to personal journaling in '09 as well.  I have been looking at different journals and should be purchasing one on friday.  I will use it to write thoughts, ideas, prayer requests, and try to capture raw and honest moments while it is fresh in my mind.  I am looking forward to seeing what God has in store for myself and my family this year.  Even though I am a week late on some of the things I wanted to improve in my life in 2009 I am ready to get started.
