I was excited to see so many people commit to joining up with me yesterday for my weight loss challenge.
I wasn’t really expecting that.
I was just kinda thinking that a few people would wish me luck and a few others would laugh at me. Now I am even more pumped up to try to lose the weight!
So, for those of you that signed up or for others that may still be interested here are the details…
The Weight Loss Challenge will begin on Monday, March 29.
I will update my blog that morning with my current weight and how I plan on getting below 200 pounds for the first time in 10 years! I think it would be great if you thought about doing the same on that morning in the comment section of my blog. If you don’t want to reveal your weight then just share how many pounds you would like to lose. My hope is that by putting that information out there it will motivate you to follow through and make it happen.
I will continue to update my blog every Monday to share my progress. Again, I think it would be great if you did the same too. Let’s try to create a community and help each other lose our chunk!
Depending on how many people commit to being a part, we also are considering placing people on teams and seeing which group can lose the most combined weight. (Possibly even have a prize for this)
And lastly…We need to give this challenge a catchy/fun name. Comment below and give me some of your ideas!

Really AAAGGGHHH!!!! Why do I read your blog I was just thinking to myself that I needed to go back on weight watchers and start my P90X back up but have been totally slacking. Now I feel like I don’t have an excuse so I’m in I need to lose about 10 lbs. I am also signing up cory for this b/c he needs it too.You know what else might be fun is if maybe once a month we tried to get some people together for a work out/ activity like hiking or something. Let me know b/c I think it would be fun. I have 4 days to eat all my junk food and be lazy…

Rene & I just started weight watchers and I think it is so cool how the timing worked…because now we won’t be alone in losing weight either!!! I can’t wait to see the amazing results from this challenge.

The accountability with the group will be great! This is our year. I would like to loose 20 lbs. Dana and I have been doing the gift card exchange for a least 2 years. Everyday you exercise you count (at least 20 minutes) we need to up that to 30 minutes. At the end of the month you get a gift card of your choice. It has been a lot of fun!!
Ruth, you are way funny. I love the way you drag Cory in on it!! LOL! Well, I am dragging Enith in too, then!! We just started going to the gym so we are on it, but some friendly competition is always fun! So, since Ruth is in charge of setting up activities, here’s an idea for you: how about like a volleyball game (I suck at volleyball but I love to play!) or some other fun sport some evening?
Estela – I like the idea of a game night. Let’s just make sure to choose one that I am really good at!
Mom – That has really helped Dana stick to it. Hopefully this makes it even easier!

Im in Sam….signed up for a boot camp with a bunch or girlfriends…..3x a week….also signed up to run the Pat Tillman race….April 17 4.2 miles…it is an awesome patriotic crowd it you are up for it. Will be happy to support you in your efforts….sounds like a bunch of us on here on the way to Looking Good!!!

Dude, I love it. I’m just sorry that I’m not closer to be involved in the volleyball. That would be slammin’. I’m in. In need to lose about 50 lbs. sittin’ phat at a hefty 230.
By the way, I think it’s way funny that your wife dropped the ball on the photo of Mike Myers up top. To funny. Maybe the next pic should be Farley though. hmmm…
Paige and I are both in and ready to go. I was threatened by Paige today that my options were (1) this challenge or (2) getting handcuffed to the treadmill till I lost “the chunk”. I happily chose this challenge.

ok today i weigh in at 250. but thats down from my high of 269, so ive lost some to start with. my advantage is a personal trainer 3 times a wk at lafittness. count me in!!
